Know Your Inventory and Successfully Manage It

Inventory Management Options task is used to define the parameters that will customize this module to the needs of an individual company.

Unit of Measure Conversion Maintenance is used to define the relationship (mathematical factors) between various units of measure. These factors can be overridden in Product Line Maintenance and Inventory Item Maintenance.

This video gives you an overview of the various pricing methods used in the MAS 90 distribution system and provides insight into the hierarchical relationships between the various pricing options.

Use Price Code Maintenance to establish quantity based price breaks using user-defined markup or discounts percentages, or amounts.

Product Line Maintenance is used to define Product Lines used by the module. A product line must be assigned to each and every inventory item. Product lines are used to provide default item information when creating an inventory item, and most importantly, to associate that item with a particular set of GL posting accounts.

Use Warehouse Code Maintenance to define warehouse codes to represent physical warehouse locations, areas within a warehouse, and functional areas (i.e. scrap warehouse, testing warehouse, return warehouse, showroom floor). GL segment values can be associated with specific warehouse records for posting provided the related options are selected during setup.
